I’m a big jean wearer and, frankly, I believe you can wear just about any jean type that you want. However, there are some jean styles that are “in” and some that are “out” – way out – and yet people keep wearing them. I suppose it really depends on who you are and if you really care about fashion or what other people think.

Boot cut jeans, for example, are in and probably always will be in. These are my favorite types to wear because they are so comfortable and work with practically any shoe. Skinny jeans have just gotten popular over the last few years, sporting a straight leg shape great for sandals and open toe shoes.

People said bell bottoms were back in, but honestly, I haven’t seen too many people reviving this trend! However, long flared jeans with a sort of toned-down bell bottom look are becoming more popular. Celebs such as Katie Holmes and Ali Larter have been seen wearing these with high, open toed sandals.

Capri jeans are yet another hot trend. Capris are not only fashionable in jeans, but also a lot of other materials as well – great for those summer days when you want to wear something other than pants. I know a lot of older women prefer these as well because it allows them to wear something shorter than jeans without showing a lot of leg.

It doesn’t matter if you are skinny and tall, short, or if you are a plus sized woman – you can look incredibly beautiful and really turn some heads, if you simply had a few tools and tips to work with! Celebs like Delta Burke have clearly shown us that even plus sized women can be beautiful and stylish. The trick is in knowing what clothes to wear, what colors to chose from, and what accessories to wear. When choosing your wardrobe, the whole cliche about “black covering up fat” isn’t necessarily true.

If you look good in dark colors, awesome. Don’t listen to me! However, choosing the same colors for jackets and pants that are the same hue is also a really good idea as well because you aren’t sectioning off areas. It’s all ONE area which makes you look sinner. You can also wear blouses in a contrasting color as well if you needed to add a flair of drama to the outfit. When choosing colors and pattern think vertical not horizontal. Bold buttons down the jacket or shirt, a long necklace, vertical stripes — these are all ways to think vertical and they can help tremendously! It’s also important to wear colors that you feel good in.

Don’t like red? Don’t wear it! Love blue? Slap it on or add accents such as a shirt, or a necklace or a scarf. You can always tie in colors, you don’t necessarily have to have “loud” colors on in order to look better. In fact, I prefer not to wear loud colors. I stay away from pink, oranges and yellows at all cost! There is one thing that a lot of plus sized women do – they don’t wear the right sizes. If you are an eighteen don’t try fitting into a sixteen! All this ends up doing is accentuating those areas where you don’t want it to accentuate!

For example, if you don’t like your butt, and you buy a really tight pair of jeans, chances are your butt is going to look larger, so if this is something you want to avoid, then don’t wear tight jeans! Same goes with shirts or dresses as well! If you are out shopping someplace and you aren’t sure about a specific size or outfit or piece of clothing – ask the sales girl. These girls are more than likely willing to give their advice about any fashion tips you need. Been there done that myself! You could also take a friend along with you as well if you are too embarrassed to ask a sales person to give you advice.

Most friends will be brutally honest about how you look, some are not. If you have a variety of friends pick the honest one! Also, if you like wearing jewelry, try to follow the “wear the right size” cliche above. Don’t wear tiny little earrings or necklaces. Try wearing things like chunky bracelets like bangles, or long flowing necklaces! So you see just because you are a plus sized woman doesn’t mean you have to feel embarrassed or “out of place”. I believe that all women are equally attractive in their own ways.

And a lot of people are going to look past the outside, and see the inside. This is what I try to remind myself when I’m having a bad hair day or something of the likes. If they don’t look inside and all they care about is your looks? It’s not a person you would want to have in your life anyway. YOU are beautiful just the way you are and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!

Hey, some men actually prefer to look their best when dressing up! If you don’t, well, boo on you. But if you do, then these few tips could save you from major embarrassment! First off, when it comes to work, it’s important to not wear sneakers or sandles. The only time you should do this is if it’s Casual Friday or something along the lines of that. I suppose in some careers it’s alright to wear sneakers. However, if you work at a place such as a corporate office, sneakers are a major NO! Second off, ties ARE hot.

I love a tie on a guy, especially a really classy one like a black Armani or a pinstriped Gucci. Bow ties? Are out. Will be out. And have been out for a long time. Don’t do this! When you have an important meeting at work make sure you wear “power suits” or”power ties” these ties and suits can make the right impression when it comes to meeting up with clients! Power colors include; red, black, green and blue. It’s also important you keep the season in mind before choosing a suit jacket as well.

If its chilly, you might want to consider a scarf or overcoat. If it’s warm, you can even do without the jacket, just make sure you wear a nice tie and a nice shirt (no stains Mister!). This isn’t really a fashion rule – but cologne is a GREAT addition. Smelling nice is always a good thing as well! As for shoes, you should look for something Italian, patent leather, and something over $50! It’s also important that they fit good as well.

A lot of women these days are not afraid to add a little “junk to the trunk” and a lot of people actually find this sexy. But for women with curves or who are voluptuous, they might not be sure what kinds of tips they should be considering when choosing clothes. So here are a few quick tips for ALL of you girls out there. Curvy tummy; the stomach is always the hardest place to “shape up”, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t wear stuff and not still look awesome.

Some things you should remember is that it’s important NOT to wear anything too tight, try free flowing tops or slim sleeves. Also, black seems to do wonders! Curvy thighs; if you have curves you might be the person that tends to cover everything up. No more! You can still look really good, but if you want to hide your thighs you might want to consider a cropped jacket, belted smock dresses, or a longer top that fits just above the thighs. Curvy all over; a lot of the girls these days HATE their bodies, and they think that because they are curvy they simply cannot wear anything fashionable.

Not true! Some items to look for are belted wrap jackets, pencil skirts, fitted v-necks or sweater jacket with a slight A-line shape! Tall and thin; as a woman myself I have always been tall. When I was younger I hated it, but now I completely love it. I can pretty much wear just about anything, but I actually prefer to NOT wear dresses that are long. Layered tops work, jackets, pea coats and trenches also are a great factor. If you want to emphasize your curves, it’s a great idea to consider a cardigan sweater! If you are short; consider wearing short or fitted sweatshirts or sweaters, mini dresses, fitted bomber jacket, a short miniskirt or a shrunken cardigan that will “hug” your frame!

In my opinion sunglasses are definitely fun-glasses. You can be funky, crazy, professional or completely odd. Some people match their sunglasses with their outfits, while others just do their own thing. Whatever you want! As long as you are comfortable in them and like them! The weird thing about trends is that sometimes you find stuff that’s “in style” and they have a really bizarre look to them. This gives everyone hope yet! Some sunglasses that are considered wild and crazy are actually worn by a lot of celebs and singers – so if this is something you want to follow along with – be our guests!

Some cool sunglasses you could consider are options like; Cool Neon Sunglasses, Rock Star, Aviator, Flamingo style sunglasses (these are really odd!), Nerd sunglasses, Vintage French and Memphis King which look a lot like Elvis glasses – which is always cool. You have a wide variety of not only colors and shapes and styles, but you can also pick from various brands as well. You can choose your sunglasses for a general day, for sports, fashion, a day out on the town, whatever you want!

I’ve even found some really sweet frames online as well for prescription eyewear glasses – these also come in all kinds of shapes, some of which used to be considered “uncool” but now they are all the rage. For example, black glasses frames used to be considered for just the nerds, but now you see just about everyone wearing them!

My cousin just recently went to fashion school in Savannah Georgia and she loves it. She has the inside scoop on all the trends, all the various styles, what’s in, what’s out and what’s “sooo 90s!” A lot of women and men alike can use some major fashion advice. For example, are Uggs still popular? Are big sunglasses still stylish? Or maybe you want to know about different hairstyles for this winter! Either way, you can find ALL of those fashion tips and so much much, right online! I’ll be honest, I don’t get into all the trends.

I would rather wear what I find comfortable and what looks good on ME. However, sometimes you really feel like just strutting your stuff and putting on a good show for all your friends. Most of my friends assume that jeans and a t-shirt is all I can do. No! Actually when it comes down to it I can any models butt! I’m 6″1 so its super easy for me to find different pieces of clothing and shoes that can flatter and enhance my body. Last week I picked up with this really cute number – black suede boots, skinny jeans, a really cute sweater I bought specifically for fall which is charcoal grey, a grey, red and blue scarf, and a pea coat I got online which is black! I love black because it goes with anything.

The really nice thing about trends is that they always come back in style – look at Bell bottom and Converse! But the other nice thing about style is that it’s all about what YOU like and look good in. You don’t HAVE to buy $5,000 boots, you don’t have to be as tall as a model – just be yourself!
