I have been bombarded by newsletters lately of new fashion for the spring, even going into summer. And of all the new fashion trends, the one that has been the most “squee” worthy for me is all the dresses with cut-outs. Not the kind that make you look a little, well, underdressed, but the kind that are flirty without being too much. Here are some of my favorites that I’m dying to get:

This Melted Caramel Dress from ModCloth is absolutely adorable. With cutouts just below the armpit, it has the right amount of sass.

This Gingham dress from ASOS is so cute and just the perfect amount of sexy. Wear this out to your next picnic and attract some attention.

Bare your shoulders with this really cute dress from Lulus. It's military chic!

I’d love one of each, please, but the plenty of more I’ve been seeing everywhere. Fashion trends come and go, so I’m definitely jumping on this one before it goes. It’s just too cute for words!

We may be in the heart of winter, but that does not mean that we cannot dream about spring. And, while you wait for the weather to warm up and sundress season to start (it will happen, promise!), you may incorporate certain warmer season elements into your wardrobe.

Pair one of your summer skirts or wear winter-fabric shorts with a pair of funky sweater tights. This way you are getting the best of both worlds; you may express your desire to wear bolder colors and patterns with your need to stay warm while looking stylish. Mixing and patching different textures will keep your wardrobe fresh and interesting

This is not to say that winter fabrics and patterns are without their merit. They have many benefits; primary among them is that they are made of thicker fabric that is designed to keep you warmer in the long winter months. Plaids and flannels come in different colors and fabrics, which enables you to incorporate them into your wardrobe I n a variety of ways. Corduroy also offer dependable, versatile fashion options, since they come in a variety of forms.

Wearing the same type of clothing becomes stagnant after a while, so combine cold and warmer weather fashion trends.

The elusive Spring season–often over before we even knew it began– will be here before we know it and in addition to more favorable weather patterns, we can finally say good riddance to our bulky winter coats and look forward to more lightweight fashion choices. Like most sane humans, you are definitely looking forward to this season of new beginnings in both the weather and fashion departments. We’ve compiled a brief list of trends you ladies can expect in these more temperate months, based on 2010 runway trends.

- Knee-highs

To anyone female who’s ever endured catholic school, knee highs are something they’d like to soon forget right along with the polyester plaid skirts. But before you get your kerosene, knee high socks, as well as over-the-knee and thigh high socks, are back and looking better than ever. Pair them with your favorite boots and you have a runway ready look.

- Military and Tribal Styles

A combination of the military trend and the more savage side of the tribal trend, the spring 2010 hybrid of the two leaves the formal and decorated style of military detailing behind. Elements of this style include metallic detailing on clothing, tunics; especially in leather, chain mail-inspired detailing, and other tribal inspired motifs with a modern twist.

- Sportswear

Sportswear takes on a whole new level of cool when it hits trend status in 2010. The key to this look is engineered by way of cropped tops, low rise loose pants to expose the waistband of an under-layer; comfortable, lightweight jersey fabrics, football-style shoulders. Woven into the effortless sportswear look are super-feminine elements like sheer fabrics and heels.

- Blazers

The key to this spring 2010 look is make it oversized. It shouldn’t swallow you, but it should be slightly loose fitting. Another key is to roll up the sleeves, for a laid-back, comfortably cool look.

- Abstract prints and lots of color

This season, expect lots of wild prints in as equally wild colors. Spring 2010 runways have shown bright clean turquoise, orange and hot pink, as well as softened coral and turquoise. Spring 2010 fashions will utilize all the shades necessary to create pretty, feminine patterns with an artistic edge.

- Oxfords

Once a staple in the footwear of yesteryear, designers are jumping on the Oxford trend and revamping this classic, clean style. Pair them with you favorite pair of ripped jeans or an aforementioned blazer and you’ll have the perfect Spring look, ready for 2010. FashionUS, an online style blog, has a great list of different styles and prices of these super stylish kicks.

- Hot Pants vs. Tap Pants

If there’s any reason to inspire you to hit the gym this spring, it’s the return of much dreaded hot pants. The high waisted vintage hot pants are in this Spring, but if you’re not confident with your physique or just don’t like showing your assets to the world, the loose boy shorts or Tap Pants are the hot pants cooler, polar opposite. These longer, flowing loose fitting shorts look best when paired with an over sized button down or a v-neck and a blazer.

Fashion trends always seem to be changing, which is one reason why fashion blogs like ours are such fantastic resources for up-to-date information about what to wear, how to wear it, and when to wear it. Right now, all the northern states are knee-deep in wintertime, but it can even get cold in warmer states such as Florida, Arizona and California as well. So no matter where you live, pay attention – these fashion trends apply to any woman hoping to look chic this winter.

First, I recommend taking a look at your skin tone and coloring. For example, I have blond hair and fair skin, so I tend to look fashionable and classy in darker colors such as black, green, brown, and blue. However, if you have darker skin or darker hair, you might want to consider lighter colors. Of course, what you wear is up to you, but if it fits right, looks good, and is the right coloring for your specific skin tone and hair – it’s going to look awesome!

After you’ve got your color palette, you need to think about which of the popular fabrics and materials you want to wear. One trendy choice of material is knitwear, such as wool, cashmere, and mohair. These garments can be very comfortable and stylish, but you also have to be careful not to choose anything too bulky – otherwise you might look bulky.

Similarly, you have to be careful with patterns, such as prints and stripes, making sure that they flatter your figure, rather than accentuating the negative. In general, try to avoid having a pattern dominate your outfit unless you’re sure you can own the look – a plaid shirt under a blazer is easier to pull off than a plaid dress.

I love to wear boots, but I’m also kind of picky – I only like to wear certain styles during certain months. For example, you’ll probably never see me wearing a boot in the summer, however in the fall and winter I’m all about the look!

Right now, there are several different styles and brands of boots that are really in style. With so many quirky and fun options, it’s easy to find a pair (or five) perfect for you.

First on the list is the winter-friendly over-the-knee boot, which keeps your warm without looking too bulky for skirts and dresses. But if you’re more into pants, over-the-knee boots also look great tucked into jeans and leggings. These boots are available in a variety of heel sizes too, so you can balance fashion and comfort to your liking.

I hate to do it, but since we’re listing the most popular types of boots, there’s one brand I can’t help but mention: Uggs. These boots are super warm and durable, especially in the winter. You can choose from various colors such as camel, tan, black, and even white. Honestly, white seems like an odd choice to me considering how slushy and dirty the streets can get after it snows. But hey, to each her own!

Looking for something a little sexier? Check out a dressy leather zip boot, a fashionable choice that will have you feeling hot and looking the part.

Most important, you need to find a boot that fits your needs. Into comfort and warmth? Slip into some Uggs. All about looking chic? Try leather.

Hats have certainly come a long way. Even back in the 1700s, Milliners relied on hats to protect themselves from the elements. Since then, men and women alike have worn hats for both practical and aesthetic reasons, as hats continue to evolve to better express personal fashion and style. In fact, many women select their hats based only on how they look and what is trendy – not how warm or dry said hat can keep them.

As with most other accessories, hats come in a variety of shapes, materials, and styles, so you can find the perfect look for every climate and occasion. A lot of the hats that were once worn primarily by men are now being marketed to women, and vice versa.

The most popular hats for women are cloche hats (pictured), Fedoras (yes, even for women!), berets, straw hats and sarge or cadet caps. You can also purchase hats as part of a pair or set, which might include gloves and/or a scarf. This is a nice choice if you’re a fan of matching outfits!

Some people look really good in hats and some people, such as myself, simply cannot pull it off! It doesn’t matter what kind it is, I simply do not look good. It’s somewhat annoying considering all the cute styles available out there – I hope you have better luck!

People used to use scarves simply to keep warm, and they were usually made out of some sort of heavy material such as wool to protect the neck in those cold winter months.

Nowadays, however, scarves are more than just shields from the cold, but rather forms of art and fashion. They come in all sorts of colors, shapes, sizes, and materials, and you can wear them just about any day of the year. Many women use scarves as a starting or focal point for entire outfits.

As scarves become more popular and accessible in a variety of styles, it seems that the traditional neck-warming devices have graduated to become full-on items of clothing. There are even subdivisions, such as shawls and wraps.

Seriously, pick any scarf, and chances are it actually exists – and people wear it. Animal? Designers have got you covered with zebra, lion, and cheetah prints. And if stripes and spots aren’t your thing, you can also select scarves by material, from silk and velvet to cotton and wool, even more esoteric choices like fur and knit.

Scarves aren’t just worn out of necessity anymore – they have actually become articles of clothing that men and women select in order to jazz up their outfits. Personally, I think scarves’ popularity comes from their huge variety of styles and makes. After all, people love options!

Welcome to FashionUs. The blog that gives you the ins and outs of the fashion industry including the latest trends, the hottest new designers, the latest new celebrity style, the best shopping websites, amazing shopping coupons, inside online sales, plus much much more.

For years, the fashion industry has been a hidden world of glamour and trends, where only the insiders knew the secrets and the outsiders were forced to admire from a distance. However, thanks to the Internet, movies like The Devil Wears Prada and The September Issue, the fashion industry is no longer a secret only admired from the pages of Vogue, only ordered from catalogs and only seen form the runways of New York and Milan. Fashion is now an open book where personal style is praised and following the norm is a thing of the past.

However, with so many unknown designers, trends, styles, and movements…it’s hard to keep up with the changing aspects of fashion. That’s why we started this blog, to give you the real inside look at the latest fashion news and trends.

Our motto… fashion is no longer a secret anymore, Fashion Is Us.
