Which Sunglasses For Your Face Shape?

July 15th, 2010

With the sun pounding down on the pavement, grass, sand and surf right now, you simply can’t leave the house without a pair of sunglasses. But what kind of sunglasses should you be wearing for your face shape? Here’s a quick guide.

Square face – Go for oval and round frames, and you can pull off butterfly frames, too.

Oval face – Most frames work, but consider offsetting your curved face with square, rectangular and geometric shaped frames.

Oblong face – Go for tall sunglasses with an accentuated top frame or side embellishment to add width to your face and make it look shorter.

Round face – Rectangular and horizontal frames will make your face look longer and thinner.

Diamond face – Go for an oval shaped frames to balance your face, or let your cheekbones shine in rimless glasses.

Heart face – If your face narrows to a small chin, choose frames that are heavy on the bottom to help fill out the lower half of your face.

Triangle face – If you have a narrow forehead and wider jaw, try top-heavy styles that help widen the top part of your face.
