These days, you really have to pinch your pennies in order to get by.   But that’s no reason you can’t look great with top designer fashions in your closet.   The following are some of our favorite tips for designer clothes shopping on a budget.   Following these tips will insure that you’ll look like a million dollars without spending it.

  • Get to know your favorite store. You can learn a lot about sales and markdowns simply by asking your friendly sales associate about what’s going to be put on sale in the near future.   Also, when asked to be put on the store’s mailing list, go for it!   The folks on these lists are often
  • Shop non-traditional sources. Some of the lowest prices on high fashion aren’t even found in a store – they are unearthed at garage sales, estates sales, on Craigslist and on eBay.   You would be amazed at the incredible women’s fashion you can find through these sources.
  • High-end consignment shopping. Go to the nicest neighborhood in town and search out the main consignment stores in the area.   Even well-to-do women experience buyer’s remorse from time to time – a fact that will lead to many fashion treasures waiting for you at these top second hand stores.
  • Seasonal shopping. Did you know that the best fashion sales occur during the months of January and July?  If you did, you would be able to save your pennies, and then get the absolute most for your money at these seasonal fashion sales.
  • Hit the outlet malls. It may be a busy way to spend a Saturday, but the classic outlet mall is still loaded to the hilt with the best fashions at the lowest prices.  Sure, a lot of things may be from last season, but doesn’t mean they won’t look great on you.
